I have needed to replace my old original fuse board for many years but had put it off fearing the upheaval and the cost. I recently had a worrying intermittent fault with the bathroom lighting and pull switch. Having read the reviews I sought a quote from Electricblu for this fault and a replacement fuse panel. James arrived promptly to give me a quote and explained what needed to be done. I was very happy and surprised with the quote and booked the job in, along with replacing the halogen spotlights in both the bathroom and kitchen. James and his colleague arrived punctually, both wore over shoes and used sheeting to protect the flooring. The work was carried out with no mess at all. Every plug socket in the house was checked and they replaced one that was faulty free of charge. I have no hesitation at all in recommending Electricblu. ~ Paul L

After receiving a very quick response to my initial enquiry James provided a good value quote for upgrading my 40-year old (!) consumer unit. He and Geoff arrived exactly when promised and worked non-stop to complete the work. We therefore had minimal disruption whilst the electrical supply was disconnected.. Available space for the new, larger, consumer unit was limited but they worked round this problem with no fuss at all. They also advised on dividing the existing circuits into a better configuration and completed the installation to a very high standard, also leaving everything neat and tidy. They were fully protected as appropriate in compliance with COVID-19 precautions - a very important safety consideration. ElectricBlu will be at the top of my list if I ever need any further electrical work doing. I highly recommend them. ~ Anthony G

Me & my partner employed the services of James & his team when searching for a local electrician. They completed a pre purchase electrical survey on our new house. Subject to their findings they also then rewired the house once we had completed the purchase, installed a new fuseboard, a number of extra outdoor lights and also installed power to our garage. I found them to be particularly trustworthy and polite when dealing with us, taking time to explain things rather than getting irritated for the questions we asked (quite a lot!) I found them by looking in Facebook and was impressed by thier reviews and the quality of the work posted. I contacted them and received a prompt response. I wanted a single socket changing to a double and another double socket added in the room. As well as some old outdated security box/telephone box removing. They came in full PPE which is important in this current pandemic. They are extremely professional and understand what I wanted doing. As well as double checking after they had measured out to make sure im happy. Fantastic service, used these guys around 2 years ago. Quick and very reliable. I remeber I left them in my house while as i had to go out with my boys, which wasn't an issue, they did their work, and posted my key when they were done. Very trustworthy guys. Cannot fault their service. Very friendly. I contacted them recently about the electrical certificate, within a day James had emailed me a copy over. Was not expecting it to come so quickly given I only enquired about it late Friday evening only to have it emailed over by Saturday afternoon. Amazing service. Would 1000% recommend these guys. James at ElectricBlu did a smashing job from start to finish. I had to pop home from work so he could inspect the work required and he arrived exactly on time, allowing me to get back to work with little disruption to my working day. The quote was received quickly and was costed fairly. It was a tricky task in that we needed to replace a cracked and faulty (fire risk) glass ceramic hob but access to the underneath of it was restricted, so James had to come up with an inventive way of getting in to remove the old unit and connect the new, properly and safely. On the day James and his colleague arrived promptly and had the job done in hardly any time at all leaving a nice shiny new hob and absolutely nothing else :-) A very reliable, fair, friendly and professional service and I would not hesitate to use them again for anything electrical and I am most happy to recommend them to others. ~ Julie R

James replaced the lights and extractor in the bathroom. He also made safe some wires found under the floor boards and removed a couple of unwanted socket from bedrooms whilst he was with us, in addition to the original work asked for. Throughout, both James and his colleague were friendly, honest and professional. The work they did was to a very high standard and they left the work area clean and tidy when they’d finished. James called to see the work we required and quickly sent through a detailed quote for the work. The quite was very reasonable and I scheduled the work for a few weeks after. James and his colleague arrived on time and quickly began undertaken the various repairs. James was very personable, took care and time to ensure everything was completed to a high standard. Spoke to James Friday morning as we needed a job completing that afternoon. He managed to squeeze us in at the last minute, completed the work to a high standard and sent photographs the next day. After this Electric Blu have become the main electrician we use for the area they cover. The work is high quality, they book in jobs quickly and they are reliable and always turn up when they say they will. By the end of this month (July) James will have completed seven jobs for us to a very high standard with him keeping his promise of providing the most detailed reports in Wakefield. He also explains electrical problems and solutions to you in a way that you can understand rather than with lots of jargon. We were also surprised to find that the cost for the works and customer service provided was fair. After a visit from a Surveyor for Wakefield Housing Association, we were informed that we needed 3 light fittings checked and a replacement light for the kitchen, I contacted Electricblu, James came to see us on Monday 8th April, we agreed a price which was very reasonable, because they had a cancellation for the next day we arranged for a 9 am start they turned up on time and just got on with the job in hand, they have now sent a copy of the work carried out to W.D.H. I contacted ElectricBlu, due to extortionate costs by a electrical company that my estate agent used for an EICR report. This seems to always be the case when legislation changes, some unscrupulous companies will try and use it to charge for work that is not required. I was pleased to find ElectricBlu, who helped me through their chat line on a Sunday of all days and I can now challenge the contractor that did the initial EICR test with confidence. James and his team conducted a survey of the premises that I'm currently renovating, after this we employed them to install a new fuse board and some other bits and bobs of electrical work at the house. The pricing was very reasonable and the attention to detail in the survey gave me the confidence that they would be the right people for the job. After a bit of a nightmare trying to get a new oven installed, I used ElectricBlu on 2 occasions to help with elements of the installation. The first was a new circuit breaker in my fuse box and the second was removing the sockets at the back of the oven and hard wiring it in. On both visits James turned up promptly at the agreed time and completed the work with a minimum of fuss. Used Wakefield based ElectricBlu late last year and again in January 22. Had fuse boxes x2, new double sockets, existing surface mounted sockets installed flush to the wall, surface mounted cables hidden, outdoor security light fitted and tv aerial socket fitted. James and his team came time and date agreed, completing the work and left all clean and tidy. Would highly recommend this company and definitely use again. ~ Peter M

I used ElectricBlu Contractors for an Induction hob installation. James came to assess the job for a quotation. From that point onwards I was very confident in that he knew exactly what was required and how to tackle the job. The service was fantastic and even included joinery work as the induction hob did not quite fit into the same space as the gas hob it was replacing. ElectricBlu Contractors carried out an EICR for my rental property. Some remedial work was required and they carried this out with great efficency. I had previously had a bit of a scary experience with another electrician so was initially wary. There was no need. This company are fab, professional and very reasonably priced. Excellent response after first contact regarding the fitting of a new electric oven. James and his colleague (apologies, I forget his name!) arrived wearing appropriate PPE, including overshoes. Assessed the work and was completed efficiently with minimum disruption. Paperwork received promptly and cost very fair. ElectricBlu replaced our very old consumer unit, plus sockets. The old unit had little space above it due to pipes from a combination boiler. James solved the problem by fitting the new unit to a side wall, involving a lot of cable hidden in a very neat way. We needed an electrician to do various jobs, the main job was a cooker installation, with additional jobs of replacing a toilet fan and two light fittings. The guys were very professional, great communication before arriving and then when doing the work. The jobs were completed without fuss and to a high standard.
